Biography

Mengjing Yang is a doctoral candidate in Flexible Electronics at Northwestern Polytechnical University, China. Her research focuses on CO₂-based poly(propylene carbonate), biodegradable barrier composites, and materials for flexible electronics and packaging. She has worked on catalyst design, polymer synthesis and scale-up, oxygen and water-vapor barrier films, and sacrificial materials for low-temperature co-fired ceramic packaging. In 2026, she was a visiting doctoral researcher at A*STAR's Institute of Sustainability for Chemicals, Energy and Environment in Singapore, studying flexible sensor materials and encapsulation. Her work connects sustainable materials development with more durable electronic devices and resource-efficient packaging. She has published peer-reviewed studies and contributed to Chinese patent applications in polymer materials.
